Michael McCarthy is an editor for the Center for Transportation Studies and several of its programs. In addition to writing and editing, he specializes in photography, video production, and media relations. He writes and edits articles, reports, announcements, scripts, social media posts, and other informational and promotional materials. He also coordinates the design, production, and distribution of these materials in a variety of formats.
Michael has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Thomas College. He is a member of the University of Minnesota Communicators Forum.
Outside of work, Michael especially enjoys bicycling, detective fiction, communing with nature, and putzing around the house.
