Principal Investigator(s):
Robert Johns, Former Director, Center for Transportation Studies
Project summary:
The project is an application of systems-thinking to research projects from the Transportation and Regional Growth Study. The purpose is to make visible the mental models of the researchers; and thus, the theories and assumptions embedded in the research design. The project will use these insights to create learning for the Principal Investigators (PIs) and the Project Management Team (PMT) and to identify new and relevant policy questions. The products of the project include Causal Loop Diagrams (CLDs), workshops for the PIs and PMT for all the study research projects with a supporting memorandum outlining the process; the CLDs and the findings; and conclusions from the integration effort.
