Toward Zero Deaths (TZD Conference), FY20-21

Project summary:

The purpose of this event is to bring together Minnesota's traffic safety stakeholders to provide the latest information on traffic safety initiatives and strategies, and to provide training on traffic safety topics. The MnDOT Office of Traffic Engineering (OTE), in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety?s Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), seeks the support of the Center for Transportation Studies to plan and carry out the two-day Toward Zero Deaths Conference in federal fiscal year 2020 (FFY20) and the 2020 Minnesota TZD Webinar Series in federal fiscal year 2021 (FFY21). CTS will bring to bear skills in conference planning, management, and outreach to deliver these events. CTS also coordinates program activities for the TZD effort, such as management of the leadership and program teams, delivery of the stakeholder breakfasts, and management of the working group. This program management work will allow CTS to tie the ideas discussed at these meetings and activities into the conference and webinar planning process.
