Project summary:
The goal of the Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) Regional Partnerships is to engage stakeholders in identifying and addressing regional traffic safety priorities and gaps. This is accomplished through implementation of proven countermeasures and working with traffic safety programs lead by the Departments of Public Safety, Transportation, and Health. The TZD regional partnership leverages existing successful programs, partnership and initiatives. As part of their annual workplan, each TZD region holds a workshop to convene stakeholders in their area to discuss traffic safety initiatives. The TZD regions supported by the Regional Partnership are: Northeastern (MnDOT District 1), Northwestern (MnDOT District 2), East Central (MnDOT District 3), Western (MnDOT District 4), Southeastern (MnDOT District 6), South Central (MnDOT District 7), and Southwestern (MnDOT District 8).
