Project summary:
Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) help travelers move more safely, quickly, and efficiently. This project examined how ITS is affecting rural economies in Minnesota, using an industry cluster perspective. The researchers conducted interviews with representatives from firms in the recreational transportation equipment and wood products industries in northwestern Minnesota about their adoption of ITS technologies.
