Project summary:
The three goals of this project are: 1) to provide uniform and integrated access to data stored in several independently developed databases; 2) to integrate data analysis and visualization capabilities with data retrieval; and, 3) to develop data filtering and data cleansing mechanisms for the input sensor data. Datatool consists of two distinct and complementary technologies, namely a data integration engine (Myriad) and a data analysis and visualization engine (DFQL). This research focuses on porting Datatool with the Information Management System for the ITS Lab. The sensor data is filtered and cleansed by a data filtering client. This data is then stored in the sensor database server, which is managed by Myriad. DFQL is used to query this database through the data access functions of the application programming interface.
