Project summary:
In support of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT)'s Complete Streets initiative, the Center for Transportation Studies (CTS) will develop content for, organize, and format a MnDOT Complete Streets guidance document to serve a broad audience of MnDOT staff and external stakeholders. MnDOT and local agency administrators, planners, project managers, and designers need a contextually specific guidance publication for implementing Complete Streets approaches. Existing guidance from around the country remains too general for Minnesota needs, circumstances, and applications, but new and evolving research, guidance, tools, and best practices are emerging that can be translated into day-to-day transportation practice with contextually appropriate and specific guidance for this document.
